Like most good businesses, APS was born out of frustration.

Fifteen years ago, it was apparent that the delivery of healthcare was being severely impaired by the dearth of knowledge of what constitutes good medical care. This was supported by clinical studies showing inordinate amounts of unnecessary and inappropriate medical procedures.

A key factor was poor collection and dissemination of information about the effectiveness of care being provided. Compounding this problem, was the lack of effective analytical tools to address these shortcomings.

APS saw a need for solutions that create and preserve healthcare knowledge. We designed a repository of information with analytical tools and reports for knowledge dissemination. Our solution effectively collects, organizes, and presents complex data as information for decision-making. Basically, we free the analytical minds of an organization to focus on thinking and problem solving rather than data scrubbing, report formatting and paper shuffling.
